Seattle Film “Hooked” Releases Sneak Peek

Hundreds of People and Businesses Supported the Production of Film that Highlights Trafficking and Autism

Hooked, a feature film that brings attention to human trafficking and autism, has released a sneak peek of the movie at The romantic dramedy filmed around Seattle in August 2018 with locally-based crew and actors and is now in post-production.

The screenplay for Hooked based on the award-winning novel. The movie filmed in downtown Seattle, Fremont, Gas Works Park, Green Lake, Bothell, and Bellevue. Local businesses in Seattle and the Eastside supported the film by donating resources, locations, office space, and even food to feed the cast and crew.

Women who were rescued from trafficking created the jewelry worn by the actors in the movie. The lead actor Jason Treviño, a student at the University of Washington’s graduate drama program, was himself born from a victim of trafficking.

“We were able to make Hooked because of the tremendous support of this community,” writer/director/producer Allen Wolf said. “People and businesses all over Seattle rallied to make this film possible and their support means people everywhere can experience this love story and learn more about trafficking and autism.”

Hooked is about a man who believes he found his soulmate but this autism keeps him from realizing she’s actually a prostitute. The film is now completing post-production with a crowd-funding campaign at Incentives to join the support team include tickets to the red carpet premiere, behind-the-scenes photos, names in the credits, and more. The production partnered with a non-profit that supports films that have a positive impact on society so that all contributions are tax-deductible.
